The main contributors to the change in June Quarter 2020 are Alcohol beverages, Tobacco and betel-nut Group, Health Group, Transport Group, Restaurants and Hotels Group.

Facts

The All Group CPI increased by 3.4% from March Quarter 2020 to June Quarter 2020. The All Group CPI also shows an annual increase of 6.0 percent from June quarter 2019 to June quarter 2020.

Major Changes are in;

• Alcohol beverages, Tobacco and betel-nut Group ( 13.6%)
  The main contributor to the rise in Alcohol beverages, Tobacco and betelnut Group Index in this quarter was mainly the increase in Prices of Betel Nut (+ 18.6%).

• Health (+6.1)
  The main contributor to the rise in Health Group Index in this quarter was mainly due to the increase in Prices for Medical Services (+ 16.1%).

• Transport Group (+4.1%)

• The main contributor to the rise in Transport Group Index in this quarter was mainly due to the increase Operations of Transport (+9.8%)

• Restaurants and Hotels Group (+3.2%)
  The main contributor to the rise in Restaurants and Hotels Group index this quarter was due to the increase in the prices of Hotel Accommodation
