Release of 2024 PNG GDP rescheduled
Published on: Nov 4, 2025

The National Accounts Branch compiles and releases PNG’s annual GDP estimates, which are widely used by government agencies for policy formulation, planning, budgeting, and economic monitoring.

The 2024 PNG GDP was scheduled for release on Tuesday, 4 November 2025. However, the NSO has rescheduled the release to Thursday, 29 January 2026. The rescheduling of the release date has been caused by delays in receiving the source data needed to compile GDP.

The new release date will ensure that the GDP estimates are accuracy and reliable. The National Accounts team will continue to validate and confront the GDP estimates up to the new release date to enhance GDP quality.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
